How much are your air leaks really costing you?

Do you know the real cost to your business? A compressed air leak survey will tell you.

It’s difficult to comprehend but a single 3mm dia. leak in your compressed air lines could cost you more than £900 per year. It is not untypical that air leaks can count for up to 40% of the energy consumption of your compressed air system. This is just wasted energy, not to mention contributing to your overall Co2 emissions increasing your carbon footprint. With a noticeable shift in industry towards more environmentally friendly practices a compressed air leak survey can save your company thousands of pounds per year. A regular leak survey as part of your preventative maintenance program to detect leaks early and have them repaired will save your company thousands of pounds on your energy bills.

At Compressed Air Audits we utilize UE Systems patented software for compressed air leaks. We analyze and advise accurate cost reduction opportunities by identifying leaks for repair.

Leak Detection Method

Compressed Air Leak Survey Pistol by UE Systems

Ultraprobe 3000

We undertake a leak detection survey using the latest Ultrasound Handheld Detectors from UE systems. The turbulence created by the high pressure air passing the leak site emits high frequency sound waves. These sound waves are inaudible to the human ear but can be detected by the handheld equipment. Since the sound waves are such high frequency the survey can be carried out in noisy factory environments during the normal working day with no disruption to your business.

The equipment is able to detect the high frequency short wave signal at great distances meaning even leaks at high level can be detected without the need for special access equipment.

How is a Compressed Air Leak Survey carried out?

During the survey leaks are identified in all compressed air lines, joints and equipment. Each one is physically tagged and the readings stored in the device. The Tag contains information about the leaks size and correlates to the reading in the device. Once the compressed air leak survey is complete we produce a comprehensive report. The report schedules each leak and it’s individual cost to your business based on your own hours of operation and the price you pay for your energy.

Service Agreement

If you set up a service agreement with us a discounted rate is applicable. We will work with you to tailor a survey program to undertake a compressed air leak survey at least once a year.
